Laksa and Birthdays at LCP

We had given a weeks' notice to make sure that we get our laksa today. As we arrived at about 11 a.m. (Church service was longer than usual this morning) laksa was not available to the late comers again unfortunately!! The others were so gracious about it and they ordered other dishes. Praise God we three could have our laksa.

James brought two small "token" cakes as the birthday surprises for Richard's( today) and Jennifer Yong (tomorrow). A blessed and special way to have birthdays recognised by cell group members in LCP.

This is my laksa - (one week's pre-order !)Looks good and tastes even better. You got to try!!

Three angelic Wongs leading the singing of the birthday song.

Richard - as happy as can be.

Jennifer being helped with her birthday candle. (no - she is still very young with lots of energy for praising and praise dancing)

Jennifer says with her hands "I'm going to let this little light shine".

Happy cell group - one more time - altogether S-M-I-L-E

The lady behind the laksa and the kampua....she was impressed by our group's JOY.

12 memories:

Nice of you to visit.
I have the greatest joy of getting candid shots with my simple Sony Cybershot which is unfortunately aging fast at the moment.
But most photos turn out ok especially when the batteries are fully charged.

Thank you for visiting. I will try to feature other shops in Miri.

I found a nice place called Borneo Kopitiam which serves their dishes on brown greased paper in baskets.

But I have not tried their kaya toast.

Wah, the laksa seems nice. Think your table must have attracted the attention of all in the shop. Happy Belated Birthday for her.

Thank you for visiting Superman. By ll the coffee shop was quite empty. We put 4 tables together and occupied almost all the frontal five foot way.

The laksa lady and all the assistants know us fairly well now.
The laksa is definitely good. Not too rich and that is good enough for me.

There are many good places in Miri and it is a definitely a joy to visit and enjoy them slowly at our own time and our own pace and with our loved ones.
Wishing you joy in food.
